Elijah Candlesticks

These candlesticks were designed by Margie in 2003, they measure 2¾” in height and are made from sterling silver.

The inspiration came from her work on the Elijah Cup – a small section of the stem of the cup caught her eye as a structure reminiscent of ancient oil lamps – and thus the shape was “borrowed” and transformed into a more modern sort of lamp in the form of Shabbat candlesticks. The delicate filigree embellishment upon the handcrafted pieces is fitting as a tribute to the Shabbat “bride” honored and celebrated each Friday evening in Jewish households worldwide.
