This mezuzah was designed in 1925. It is made of sterling silver and measures 5¼" long and 1½" wide.

Nearing its 100th birthday, this is our oldest active product. As our studio itself, the design of this mezuzah is deeply rooted in the world-famous Bezalel School of Art in Jerusalem. The mezuzah, the tiny receptacle which, containing a parchment scroll bearing two verses, is attached to the doorway of every Jewish home. Yehia's mezuzahs follow the "Bezalelite" pattern wherein mezuzahs of silver, brass, alpaca and copper include numerous and parallel hammered motifs, such as paired Temple columns with an Oriental roof structure headed by the letter "shin" (denoting "Shaddai", a name for G-d), Stars of David, or inscriptions such as "And thou shalt write them upon the doorposts of thine house and upon thy gates." (Deut. 6:9, 11:20) This mezuzah features the Lion of Judah, the frontal face of the Temple of antiquity, and the name "Shaddai" in holy lettering. All of our mezuzahs contain a kosher hand-written parchment.
