This Charity Box was designed in 1992. It measures 6” high and 4” in diameter, and was created in sterling silver and oxidized sterling silver. 

Boaz was honored to be invited to participate in the Contemporary Charity Box Project initiated by the Lubavitch Foundation. He designed and fabricated this sterling silver charity box in cylindrical form with the top of the cylinder slashed by a diagonal cut and crowned with a rotating sphere. The word צדקה (TZEDAKAH) is pierced in the top of the sphere in old Rashi script. As the sphere is rotated, an opening is created permitting the input of charity and the continuation of the quote is revealed, also pierced in the old Rashi script:

"...Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way..." Proverbs 13:6

In the bottom of the box is a cover which, when turned counter-clockwise, allows for the removal of charity collected.
