Amos Torah Pointer

This Torah pointer was designed in 1985. It is 9” long and made of sterling silver and studded with three lapis lazuli stones.

It is chock-full of elaborate filigree motifs and striking blue lapis impressively complements the silver. A diminutive pointer is employed when the Torah is read out in synagogue, as it is considered sacrilegious to touch the parchment of the Torah scroll with bare fingers, yet the reader needs to keep track of his place in the portion being read for the particular week of the year.
